The Ingate SIParator is a piece of hardware that connects to an existing firewall and enables it to manage SIP media streams, including instant messaging, presence information, audio/video conferencing and VoIP.

Compatible with all existing networks and operating systems, Ingate SIParators are designed for scalability to meet the dynamic needs of small- to mid-sized businesses. SIParators come in a range of sizes to suit a variety of networks.As it only handles the SIP-related traffic an Ingate SIParator can SIP-enable even the largest firewalls on the market. For further flexibility, it is possible for enterprises to adjust the number of users with minimum investment.

Ingate SIParators connect to an existing enterprise firewall through a DMZ port, enabling the transmission of SIP-based communications without affecting firewall security. Messages are then routed through the firewall to the private addresses of authorized users on the network.

SIParators come preinstalled on thoroughly tested hardware and work independently of other computers and equipment. Software pre-installation coupled with Web-interface configuration dramatically provides the ease of use that enhances security, eliminating the user errors that often occur at setup.
