Tagline Console

Tagline Console Incorporates Unified Communications Capabilities for SOHOs/SMBs

Tagline Console is an IM client that seamlessly integrates with the Tagline Unified Communications (UC) service. It merges IM and presence capabilities with a UC offering.

Users initially select from one of three presence contexts (Home, Office, and Roaming). This determines what statuses are applicable and also establishes where calls should be routed by default.

One feature of the Tagline Console is the ability to direct incoming calls based on a user's presence and availability status. For example, if a user is in the office and "Available", by default, all calls will be sent to their office phone. However, if that same user changes their status to "In a Meeting", calls then go to their voice mail. This automatic call transfer ability can also be disabled or manually overridden.

Another feature is outbound dialing, whereby a user can initiate a call straight from the Tagline Console. Unlike other similar services, the call occurs over the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The system first dials the caller at their chosen location (default is based on their presence) before dialing the callee and linking up the two parties.

In addition to Instant Messaging, Tagline Console offers the following key features;

* Three presence contexts to choose from (Home, Office, and Roaming).

* Message broadcasts to individual users or groups.

* One-click selection of how incoming calls should be directed.

* Automatic transfer of calls based on user status.

* Click-to-dial another user.

* Direct-dial any phone number.

* Create conference calls on-the-fly.

* Availability reminder to help users manage their status.

* Easy access to all Tagline information (voicemail, email, faxes, conferences, contacts, calendar, etc).

* Real-time summary of user messages.

Tagline Console is available to all Tagline users with an Internet connection.
